Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: [add date]
This is a starting template, not a substitute for legal advice. Have a lawyer review and adapt it to your specific business and jurisdiction before relying on it.
This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel, or if we do.
1. If you cancel
[Define your actual cancellation windows and what's refundable at each stage - for example: “Full refund up to 14 days before the event. 50% refund 7-14 days before. No refund within 7 days.” Adjust to match how your business actually operates.]
2. If we cancel or reschedule
If we cancel an Event, you'll be offered [a full refund / credit toward a future Event / your choice of either - decide and state clearly]. If we reschedule an Event and the new date doesn't work for you, [state what happens].
3. Waitlisted enrollments
If you're on a waitlist and a spot doesn't open up before the Event, [state whether any payment already made is automatically refunded, or requires you to request it].
4. How to request a refund
Get in touch with your name, the event, and your enrollment details, and we'll process eligible refunds within [state a timeframe, e.g. “5-7 business days”].
5. Non-refundable items
[If anything is explicitly non-refundable - e.g. a booking fee, third-party costs already committed for a trip - state it clearly here.]
